Members Go2Tex Posted October 31, 2009 Members Report Posted October 31, 2009 I'm assuming that you used fairly light weight leather, but I'd like to see a little more depth. More lift to the leaves. The oak leaf lends itself well to lifting with the undercut bevelers so really dig in there. Make deeper cuts. It will help with the perseption of depth because it actually is. Other than that it is nicely uniform and clean and well layed out. Beveling is very nice. It's a pleasing pattern but the blank space for the letters is a bit large. You could add a scroll effect behind them to help fill that in and frame them. It might just be the lighting of the picture, but it appears that it could also use a bit of contrast. I get this same problem when my moisture content is not quite right. You could use an antique or highlighter to really bring it out now. Quote Brent Tubre email: [email protected]

He used a stamp for the letters so no need to bevel, or should I say it would be difficult to bevel them. Some of the letter stamps come with there own bevel so it looks like you did that when you stamp them (sort of). Good job Adam, I agree with Tex about getting some lift and more contrast but over all I think you did really good. Even the back grounding looks nice and even which is something I still struggle with. Quote
