My first attempt at a purse

Well here is a pic of my first "big" project. I made this for my wife.

I would like some feedback, good or bad, from you guys. I know that the stain is kinda "streaky" but I tried to get it that way as she likes it, she says it gives it a bit of character.

For being a first time big project it is not bad.it is much better than my first project many years ago. . All i can say is practice ,practice and practice some more,and when you think you know how to do it in your sleep pratice some more. i am sure your wife will like it. just remember that you do have to keep her happy so that you can keep doing your leather work ,so every once in awhile make something for her . mabey make a matching check book. that would make a nice second project
