It help to set he braid and make it look a little more profesionel. I just wet the braid a little and use the rocker side and pull the braid and roll it at the same time and i come out with a braid that look the same diameter all down the braid. it is 5 3/8 " long and 2 1/2/" wide and about 3/4 " thick. great addition to any braiding kit. price is 22.50 and that includes shipping ,first class mail.
