Another seat finished, a few more lessons learnt!!!

Dyed with black raven oil.

My new favorite tool...medical forceps..great for gripping the lacing needle!!!

Very nice seat. Did you just swivel knife then background? There seems to be no bevler used.

Correct, i was taught recently that there was no need to bevel if you are going to use a backgrounder...i must admit, i like the look and it does save alot of time...the backgrounder i used has a straight edge on one side..it seems to do the job.

thanks for the comments everyone ...OdinUK, the background is a pebble tool....springfieldleather has them on sale at the moment for $4.99...there are three sizes..i recommend getting all three.

THANKS ROO! I first saw the Pebble tools in the Cox seat tutorial on Bikernet and have been wanting them ever since I saw them but my local suppliers didn't have them or anything like them. Picking up all three.

Love the seat design too, gonna have to try non-beveling carving and see if I can screw that up like my beveled work. wink.gif

That looks cool man. I almost did that design for a seat I just did but he wanted sheridan style instead .

He might want it for a bros bike ,Think I got the pic out of a tattoo disk I got .
