Awl Holes?

Could someone post pictures of there awl holes? I bought the Art of Hand Sewing kit from Tandy, and after I ran the groover threw the hole it seems that its not wide enough for the awl. No matter which way I place the awl it still runs out of the channel. I dont have a clue what I am doing wrong????? :helpsmilie:
