I DO LIKE the colors ,well done ....DOC....

I'll second that comment on the colors!

The only things I notice needing work are the outside lines could be straighter (I've actually taken to using a ruler for things like that - just run the swivel knife along it); and the lacing appears uneven in spaces (that may be more an affect of the camera angle)

Nice tooling work and coloring. Speaking of the borders, I do have to ask - why even have a border with this design? I would find it be more attractive without the border.

I can't speak for Duddy, but I've done this same kit, and the pattern that came with it (a horsehead) also had the border, so I did it just for keeping with the design. Had I it to do again, I'd leave the border off. But it does make it easier if you're going to background inside the border area.
