My new project is an Mexican loop Holster for my Pepperbox (deko gun for the western town)

This is my first Gun Holster

Its not ready yet, the twine is only for hold the Holster for carving the edges.

But I think about to paint the leather in a other brown tone.

But what can I make better? How can I make an antik leather finish?

The Mexican Loop version was a bad idea for a small Holster like this. When I throw the Gun, the Holster flys away:head_hurts_kr:
