Leather Roses

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Looking around the web I have seen leather roses and other leather flowers. I can think of a lot of projects that I'd love to use these 3D flowers for, and they look like a cool way to use up some scrap. Does anyone know where I can find patterns or instructions? The shapes look easy enough to make, but I'm not sure how I would put them together. I have a couple of ideas, but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel if I don't have to. I'd happily pay, but I'm not sure which instructions out there would be best. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave, I was having trouble with the resolution of the leather roses sheet you posted when I try to print it out. Any chance you can send it to me in PDF? Mostly just the instructions page - it is hard to read. Thanks for your consideration! ss2106113@yahoo.com

I emailed it to you, let me know if it's not clear and I'll try again.

Cheryl also did a video that was available through Hidecrafter, not sure if they still carry it or not.

That's OK Dave - thanks anyway ( I can tell you if you want to learn though) .

Wild Rose, I did not realize that your instructions were one in the same as here- yours is slightly better resolution but does not print too well either. I can read it OK but want to print for mom. If you have a better one please do resend - if not that is OK. Thank you for your help!

Wishful, how about I copy it and put it in the mail? I'll see if I can find my original. If you want a paper copy, get me your mailing address.

Hi Dave

I was browsing and saw this posting and thought I'd try to help,

for future reference. Making a PDF file is easy once you know how to do it.

To make a PDF file you do it from your Print Window.

On my computer (imac) when I want to print something, word doc or web-page, I

click on command P and I get a Print window with lots of printing choices to make

and down at the bottom of that window are 6 buttons to choose from....

right to left is Print, Cancel, Supplies, Preview, PDF, and a ? for help.

Click on the button that says PDF and then you have more choices.

I usually just pick "Save As PDF" and the computer makes a PDF file and either puts it in

the folder your working in or gives you a choice of where to put it. Then you can send it in an email

like you would a jpeg or any picture file.

Hope this helps

ps.

OH and Those are Really Great Roses that your wife makes!

Beautiful & very Special!
