Hard To Find Classic Biker Jacket

Recommended Posts

I need a Classic style Biker Jacket like this one http://www.bikersden...rst-mfg-co.aspx

or this one http://www.jafrum.co...e-Jackets/MJ410

They both have belts, split sides with laces, and removable inner lining.

Problem is Only the Jafrum MJ410 has a Full Belt. But they are Out of stock in my size and they have no idea if they are getting any more.

A Full belt is a MUST for me because I look at the half belt of all the other biker jackets sold as a girly fashion gimmick. These are called Classic style jackets.. correct me if I'm wrong leather experts, but I doubt Men were buying cheesy half belts in the 50's and 60's. Bikers, manly men, I'm sure wanted real removable belts. I don't see how bikers even stand for this half belt thing. They might as well put a Barbie doll on their handlebars.

There is only one company I can find that makes a full belted jacket like this with split sides and inner removable liner. I think that's just Nutz. Seems it would be a better selling item for the full belt. It seems the full belt would be the common practice and the half belt the odd duck, but it's not that way and I can't wrap my head around that.

I wear a size 38 short in jacket size I was told when I was measured for a black double breasted formal suit recently. The Jafrum website says to measure your chest and get one size up from there. My chest measures 36 inches. I would need a jacket 36 to 38 or perhaps 40 if the sizes run small. But they are out of even 40, the smallest size they offer in that jacket and do not know if they will get any more, I called them.

I do not trust Jafrum reviews.. a buyer on that page said they ordered a 36-38 But the girl I spoke to assures me that jacket only comes in 40 for the smallest size. It looks like they doctor their reviews.

Allstate the other popular biker jacket company does not even make a full belt with split side laces and inner removable lining at all let alone in my size. Even if I conceeded and went with a half belt ( god forbid) those aren't even available in my size.

What am I to do? Anyone help?

Everything I've found is that these are about the best quality you'll find for the money. They're actually distributed through a lot of the farm and ranch stores. MMC is the daughter company of Carrol Leather who is the manufacturer of Interstate Leather.

It's only a half belt, but the rest of the quality and features make that acceptable to me (I'm ordering in a couple weeks). These were the best I could find in my size, 50 Tall.

Keep in mind, if you can afford one crafted by a professional then I would go that way over a mass produced item. I can't afford it, so I'm ordering this one. Their sizing guide is a little weird, but you'd probably want the 40 to account for wearing a sweater underneath or anything like that. Plus, they're willing to swap it if it's the wrong size (from what I've read on reviews elsewhere).

Get the real deal here: http://www.schottnyc...-motorcycle.htm

I would have loved to buy something like that. But, I don't have $500 + to spend and they don't offer that oh-so-mysterious "Tall" size. I'm happy with my Interstate Leather for the price. All these responses and I've never seen a response from the original poster.
