chancey77 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) I am astounded at the lack of help from Fiebings! I have spent probably 10,000+ dollars on their products over the years, and I asked them for some solutions and help on my quest and they told me basically that they have no idea where I can find any of their products that can be delivered to my door. Gave me a web site in Norway that only carries saddle soap....hahahahaha I asked if he could maybe tell me without telling me how i might go about trying to attempt to make my own antique and he basicly told me there is NO WAY he could or anyone at the company could even give me a slight suggestion/idea on how they do it..... It can't be that hard to make a very small batch.... I am so glad I have put food in their kids mouths all these years! Thanks for NOTHING! Are there any disgruntled employees out there?????? hahahahaha Lets have some simple solution to my problem.... I need antique paste! Does anyone have a can handy; is there any ingredients on the side??? Maybe I can paypal someone to ship some to me???? electrathon Report post Posted January 26, 2012 Maybe I can paypal someone to ship some to me???? This is an easy solution if you can not find any over there. Wrap it in a box, declare it as shoe polish and mark the customs form as a gift. It is a solid so no huge issue mailing it (antique liquid could be bad). If you can not find any I will send you a small jar of it and then you can paypal me to cover the cost. Aaron
chancey77 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 That is exactly what I was thinking...THANKS ARRON! Someone to step up and say I'm your huckleberry! hahahaha I am contacting Abbyengland 2morrow and try to talk them into shipping it. That is what the TLF people I deal with every week told me also is to contact AE. Because even TLF England does not carry it because they got caught shipping it and now cannot even carry it is what I was told. I have been using Carr Davis Martin neatsfoot oil and leather balsam and it is awesome stuff, and a very cool helpful company, but they don't make any stains or antiques. I will let yall know if I need someone to ship it here for me, if a company won't do it, then maybe we can do it person to person:) I have paypal! And a project this month that needs antique! Kevin Report post Posted January 26, 2012 I always thought antique paste smelled like shoe polish and turpentine, I've never tried to make it though. Kevin

I bet they know what they are making rather than where you can buy it PS I answered to your message in "How Do I..."
chancey77 Report post Posted January 26, 2012 I did ask Fiebings and basically no help....I called them directly.
TwinOaks Report post Posted January 27, 2012 Well, if you had a recipe for a product that you sold to hundreds of thousands of leather workers (millions?) as part of your business..........would you willingly just give the recipe out to anyone who asked for it? Ingredients? It's called "Trade Secret", and is the reason why people who invent products can make money by selling those products...instead of spending the time and money to develop the product and give it away, or have someone undercut your costs and start selling a knock off on ebay.
