Members Kd Custom Posted April 25, 2013 Members Report Posted April 25, 2013 Well after trying to machine see my first wallet it became clear very quickly I had to do something about the leather being torn up by the feet. Is there anyone who has made a tutorial for filing them down so this doesn't happen? I have a singer heavy duty 4411 and it handles everything I throw at it but I can't have the feet ruining the finish and scared to mess up my machine! Thanks so much for any help! Quote
dirtclod Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 If it's the foot take it off and file away. If it's the feed dog their was talk about doing that. Do a search and it should come up. Quote
Members Kd Custom Posted April 26, 2013 Author Members Report Posted April 26, 2013 It's defiantly the feet because the scratches are on the bottom. I'm just worried about ruining it by taking a file to it randomly :/ Quote
dirtclod Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 On the bottom of the leather ? If it's skining things up on the bottom it's the feed dog. I just looked at your machine online and it's not what you need to sew leather with. It may sew a little while but i don't think it will last long sewing billfolds. Quote
