Here are some pictures of the second saddle I have made. I have my list of critiques and things to do better next time, but all advice and suggestions are welcome.

Nicely Done Rod! Obviously you are taking your saddlemaking as seriously as you take your tree making. Welcome to the saddle makers ranks, it's is always nice to have another maker's work to look and and draw from. At least one thing is a good bet, we don't have to ask who's trees you are using!

Again, nice job.

Bob

I'd say you did an excellent job!

Certainly doesn't look like just a second saddle.

Btw, everyone has critiques of their own work.

That's how we get good. :)

But you know this already.

Say,,,you aren't going to stop selling trees are you?

Rod - all Rod!! I (Denise) watched and was happy to see it happening. And no, we're not going into saddle making as a business. (Too hard to make a living that way... :) ) This one is for us. So was the first one - that he built ten years ago. He sold it this past fall so had the chance to build another one. I think he did a wonderful job on it.
