Rein And Headstall Set

Recommended Posts

Very nice work. I really like the effect of the cornering on your strings & the colors of your rawhide ( I've looked at several of your posts). I'm definitely going to dehair my next hide using your method. It won't make my work as nice as yours, but my screw-ups will look better. Buck

You sure crank out some top flight stuff.

Mike,

You can probably tell by looking but Bret's work uses as well as it looks too. I've got a set of reins and a two rein bosal and just dandy to use. Have a 1/2" coming, and then I'll be making a headstall and some hangers to suit them.

I like the headstall, how big is the core? I'd like to try something like this.. Again really great work!

The core is 1/8" for the headstall and the rein. The romal has a 1/4" core.

That's what I've been using, thanks. Do you use treadle belt?

That's the stuff or a quality braided nylon but that's getting tough to find.
