Members rccolt45 Posted October 10, 2013 Members Report Posted October 10, 2013 Hi guys I am wondering what you all use to sand your belt loops on own holsters. I have tried the small Dremel tool sanding drums but find they are to large. For the flat parts I use a nail file or emery board but what to use on the top and bottom round parts? Quote
Members Geneva Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 I have never sanded a belt loop. You should make sure your edging tool is sharp though Quote
Members Colt Hammerless Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 I use a wood dowel (likely 1/4 inch diameter) with sandpaper wrapped around it. I tape the sandpaper at the top and the bottom. I then stick it in the drill press. Works pretty fast. Paul Quote
Members Red Cent Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 I use this. http://www.sears.com/dremel-114-952-3-8-inch-aluminum-oxide/p-SPM2156142101?prdNo=7&blockNo=57&blockType=G57 Quote
Members chiefjason Posted October 11, 2013 Members Report Posted October 11, 2013 Any sanding is minor and done by hand. I burnish them well though. FWIW, they will get wrecked pretty quick and the belt will do some burnishing on them with wear. I get them decent and functional and focus on the outside edges for looks. Quote
