Very nice.

Gives me ideas now.

Just got a Singer 211g setup with a 1.75 pulley and its still too fast.

Might steal your setup if ya dont mind :)

Any tips or tricks with it?

Thx

Joe

Cool,

pcox, my man---who has helped me like a Pope helping a sinner!!!

I know, I know some Popes are better than other Popes!

I mean a great Pope helping a bad sinner. :)

Are you using a small pulley on the motor like I have or something bigger?

I got the machine with a 3.5in pulley.

Thx

Joey

Good ideas jkbuzzbee and pcox. I’m sure there are a lot of us out here with older machines that need to be slowed down a little bit. I like the factory-built speed reducer on my Consew 225 (that I just got rigged up) well enough that now I’m starting to think about what I can do with my Singers 111W153 and 111G156 to tame them down a little. I don’t have another factory-built speed reducer, so thanks for the suggestions.

Ok guys, help me out here a little.

I see pcox has what looks like the original wheel with the stitch markings on it.

My 211g has only one hub/wheel with stitch marks and belt channel.

So my whole wheel would have to come off, ??? on how to regulate my stitch length

has me a little baffled.

Ideas on that would be great.

Thx

Joe

Think I kinda figured it out.

As long as there is something attached to the drive shaft, I can lock the hook shaft below with deck button and

operate as usual.

jkbuzbee,

I am going on pcox's reply with the larger handwheel earlier in your thread.

I have figured out how to do yours. Hardware store here in the Fl Keys has the parts.

Dont have many stores down here.

Hope these pics help. I pulled the pulley/hub off the shaft and turned the pulley hub down to 1 inch in my lathe then filed a flat for the set screw on the 6 inch pulley. slipped it all back together, fitted a longer belt. Instant happy.
