So whats the best leather I can get for belts that I can dye myself? And where can I get it.

I found this leather but I never used it before so any thoughts?

That type of material is exactly what I use to make my belts and riifle slings from only I paid 64 dollars delivered to my door for the one I bought. It was a double shoulder where yours is a single shoulder. It was from American Leather Direct and a very nice piece of leather too. Good luck

That is not a single shoulder but a single bend which is much larger than the single shoulder. Even larger than the double shoulder.

To the poster - I purchased that same one and it worked great. I got one a year ago but I think the price was $119 then. It was a very clean piece with no range marks, fat wrinkles, bug bites, or nicks and the backside was very smooth.
