Members jedisarah Posted January 20, 2014 Members Report Posted January 20, 2014 Looking for some advice please :-) I make costumes for myself, and I'm currently working on a Bellatrix Lestrange costume from Harry Potter. The leather corset she has is quite detailed, and I'm not entirely sure how it was made for the film. The oval shapes by the lacing on the corset look like they are cut out or carved in. I have made one, but I think the leather I used is too thick - 3mm. Here's some pics of the original I'm trying to recreate, Any advice greatly appreciated! Thankyou :-) Quote
Members buzzardbait Posted January 20, 2014 Members Report Posted January 20, 2014 I think the ovals simulate stretching the skin at the stitch points. you could wet form these, by inserting a wooden dowell between the stitches and when the leather dries your done Quote
