thanks, Im beginning to understand, you use veggie tan for top and bottom what do you use for the side pices?

how do you fit on to the pan/pad?

After sewing top to sides, how do you sew the bottom piece so you can fit tight over the pan? Is bottom stapled?

Use leather 3 mm in the upper part, while leather from 1 mm in the lateral parts, to start stitching and Permare lateral part of the upper use staples that pathologist just finished seam

the lower part of the saddle is not sewn but only with staples

I have no photos because the bottom has already been delivered to the customer.

Thanks for sharing, I have only made 4 Bobber seats first three I used the round braid, takes a lot of time. just the braiding took me 12hrs.I bought a industrial machine And learning to use it, on my last seat I wet molded top and bottom, then machined sewed the top and bottom together it' was so quick, 30 minutes to sew. I like machine sewing.

They way you sewed your seat using 3 pieces is interesting, I have made a couple bags making the hem on the inside then flip it. Your seat is kinda like that.

I can see now your seat is 2 pieces, side piece wraps under to the bottom, pulled tight and stapled. right?

guess would only work with plastic pan

Thanks for explaining, would Barge contact cement will hold leather to the metal seat pan?

Don't need to put in rivets?
