I would like to show you some sheaths which, in contrast with my own ones, were made by my friend and mentor, Zoltán Kovács (he also goes by the nickname "Kuvasz"). His leatherwork has for long years been very inspiring to me and I hope to someday reach his level of expertise.

Man! that is awesome. Do you know what he uses as a stiffener for the fins?

Nothing. Just leather. :)

I am not saying that Americans don't do great leather work, as well, but I love looking at leather work from different countries. The approach is so different. There are several folks on this forum from different countries that approach tooling and construction with a hard core Art format instead of a folk art or traditional western(American) theme I normally see from the states.

Phenomenal work.

Awesome!

Not to be a detractor, but doesn't seem like a practical sheath though.

Cool non the less.
