Hi there, I wondered if anybody know whether it is possible to get a pattern/template to make a satchel. I have been making journal covers for quite some time now but would like to try some new work.

Any advise is greatly appreciated

Satchel is a pretty broad term. Can you be more specific?

Just get some pattern paper and make some templates. You can make it exactly how you want!

Hi Mark, I think you'd be surprised at how easy it can be to make your own template. Just use a straight edge and a square and round the corners with something handy. Sometimes I draw out all the separate pieces on a piece of paper just to make sure I've actually thought it through before I start cutting.

Unfortunately, since I've always made my own, I don't really know where you can get any, but I have noticed a shop on etsy that sells patterns: https://www.etsy.com/shop/LZpattern . I've never tried any, but I really like the look of some of their products. And they have three or four free tutorials on there that look pretty informative.

Monica beat me to the punch. LOL.

I also have not bought anything from them either but they look pretty nice.

This looks very nice. I've never bought a pattern from him, but I did talk to him on the phone once. Nice guy.
