Singer 29K4

Recommended Posts

I have an opportunity to buy a Singer 29K4 that has been motorized, can anyone advise me if this would be a good buy or not? Also what thread will this machine take, I currently use 277 bonded nylon on top and 210 bonded nylon on bottom. Will this machine take heavier thread, "Thanks I have found that the people on this sight have the answers.

Yupp that's about it they don't work real well with the thread you use. But they were made to sew hardto sew items the reason for the thin cylinder. Anything above say 6 ounce double and it's hit or miss on the stitches hooking up but they are usefull a lot of them out there. I own one plus an Adler 30-1 , the Adler will so a little better with up to 138 top and bottom tho.Gary
