Looking To Buy A New Sewing Machine

Hi,

I am looking for some advice from all of you who have sewing machines. I already have and old Singer that is working but I am looking to upgrade and get a machine that can handle the heavy leathers that I wish to sew. My business I sell mostly costume related items for Steampunk, Cosplay and Reanissance.

I need to be able sew items like pouches, holsters, pauldrons and looking into my crystal ball maybe hats.

I have $2K to spend on a new machine on a new machine. Used machine is questionable not knowing how well the machine was maintained by the previous owner.

I did manage to see and play with a Cowboy 3200 and Chandler CM406RB-1 before I make a decision I would like to see what experienced folks have to say.

What do you recommend? What are the pros and cons of your machine.
