I've been carrying a more basic version of these around for the last year, and I absolutely love it. I decided to revisit the idea and see if I could make some improvements. Pretty happy with the result!

Beautiful stuff.

How are you cutting them? Laser?

Yessir, I like the concept of new technology meeting an old trade.

What machine are you running?

I love what's possible with a laser. I keep drooling over the machines but never seem to come up with the extra cash for a decent one that will do everything I want.

Well, it isn't mine, but It is an Epilog Legend 36EXT. It's an impressive machine. Retail price is $29,995.

Wow... love this idea! :-)

Thanks!

I also use a 150 watt laser.... i use it until I perfect a small item then i decide if I am going to do a lot of them... then I get a die made. Otherwise I use a laser...

maybe you can tell me the best way you have found to clean the edges of the cut leather??

thanks

Lew

Sure! I just do a buff with a clean rag and take off as much of the char as possible, then a quick pass with a lightly dampened rag. Another quick pass with some 240 grit sandpaper and then gum trag and a burnish.

I've also discovered a good pencil eraser will remove the smudges on the front of the leather.

Love the concept.

Appreciate that.

Incredibly cool!

Thanks again builder!

Super designs on the wallets. Love the 3 dimensional look. And the wallet it self is very nice. Very nice!!
