Hello , is it important to use waxed thread for small items like wallets or watch straps or would it be OK to use un-waxed , why i'm asking is there's a company in UK (LePrevo) that sell un-waxed 18/3 linen thread with a good choice of colours at decent price , i know i can wax it myself just wonderd if it's critical for small pocket type stuff ? Should say it's in my case it's for hand stitching.

Cheers Dave

Looks nice. Is it linen, polyester or nylon.

I have some natural unwaxed linen. It looks really nice on some items as it is, and its great because you can dye it yourself.

Please let us know how it works out, and put a picture of your stitching if possible. That is a really good price.

That particular thread from Le Prevo is an excellent product! I use it all the time, but I always wax it before use. The wax keeps the thread from untwisting, and provides a degree of lubrication.
