Members KBarRanch Posted January 28, 2016 Members Report Posted January 28, 2016 I was wondering which suppliers some of y'all were ordering calf hide from. I'm wanting it for cartridge loops, this is my first time making them but I'm thinking of using 4-5oz? Does that sound accurate? Also do you have to order the whole side or can you purchase it in different cuts? Thanks for any help -Trevor Quote

Members KBarRanch Posted February 3, 2016 Author Members Report Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks guys! Troy I do you know if the soft-veg tan, milled calf hide from Springfield is any different than normal veg-tan calf hide? Quote
Members italiantanner Posted February 3, 2016 Members Report Posted February 3, 2016 Yes, it is our own e.shop. We are a very old Italian tannery and, in 2014, we've started to sell also on.line ... with great results Quote

Members cigana Posted May 2, 2016 Members Report Posted May 2, 2016 I would recommend Orion Calf Ltd they have beautiful french calf - traditional anilin box calf, soft calf and burnish able calf. Quote
