xGypsyx Report post Posted April 24, 2016 Why is this entire bend of buffalo hide, 7.89http://springfieldleather.com/41732/...2CSingle-Bend/ and this 24 x 24 piece is 46.00http://springfieldleather.com/43351/...Horse24%22x24/ I'm making a journal....and this would make fantastic cover....but I'm a little confused by this, and don't want to order the wrong thing. So even though it's not marked as such (like others on the site which are clearly marked "sold by square foot") is the bend sold @ 7.89 per ft2?...and that's why they tell you they average 10-13 ft2? Or is it just that much more to have a perfect square cut and sent to you? Thanks in advance, -Gypsy
NVLeatherWorx Report post Posted April 25, 2016 I would be willing to bet that the Single Bend (the first item) is mislabeled and is actually by the square foot as it is an 8 to 10 sft piece; if not, then it is most likely very suspect in its actual quality and/or appearance. The second item listed is much more pricey as it has been cut to a pre-determined size and it has been cut from the premium section of the hide so the quality is far superior when compared to a bend where there is much more stretch and wrinkles; much the same as the shoulder areas and neck/belly.
