Sedgwick's bridle leather after rain :(

Recommended Posts

Hello my friends.

After 15 min walk in rain my bridle leather briefcase made from Sedgwick bridle leather looks very bad.

I would like to ask,  this is normal or not?

  • That looks like a pasted 'finish' instead of the grain side of leather - and it looks like it's separating from the split that's under it.  I don't know what the leather was sold as, but I've got a bridle leather belt that's been wet many times and hasn't suffered like that....granted, it isn't Sedgewick, but I don't think you should be seeing that in bridle leather.

Thank you for answer, but this is real Sedgwick :( I bought this leather by Abbey England. Should I complaint this leather?

If i were you i would complain to Abbey and also Sedgwick.

I use Sedgwick bridle leather most of the time for horse riding tack have never

seen anything like this happen to my work. Looking at the images i think the same as Twin Oaks

it looks pasted so give Abbey/Sedgwick a chance to see to see those images if you can

you have nothing to lose by doing so.

By the way i have seen some of your work in another post - really nice work.

Hope this helps
