Small Coin Purse

Hello All,

Attached are pictures of a small coin purse that I put together from a pattern I had in my head. Please critique. I know my stitching and tooling  is not the best. Any words of advice to improve would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Your execution was spot on. Love the design, burnish, color, and the contrast between the leather and stitching.

Thank you for all of the encouragement. The design of the coin purse makes it feel nice in the hand but the lack any straight edges made it a pain to cut out of the leather.

 

Any critique is welcome. I have been leather working for a year now and I am looking to improve. Especially on cleaning up my tooling enough to make me stop cringing.

Damn, I cant find anything to fault on this. Really nice. I have saved the PDF to try this for some practice stitching rounded shapes.

Just one thing to note on the pattern. The radius of the 'coin catcher' portion is 0.5 inches larger that the rest of the pattern. This was done on purpose. This puts the coin purse under some tension and keeps the design 'cupped' or curved. I probably should have mentioned that earlier in the post. If you build it you'll quickly find out what I mean. Enjoy.

AussieMade is right. I love finding idea's and making them better. So!!!! its no good to me, I can't think how to make it better.
