So making a dog collar last night, I learnt five things while using dyes.....

1.    Wear gloves

2.    Remember to put lid back on bottle

3.    Ox Blood dye looks good on our polished wood table, if only it was the whole          table

4.    Should have worn gloves while cleaning it up

5.    My partner is not happy, but likes the colour lol

Got kids?  I'd put a table runner or carving board, or something there - before the kids make sandwiches right there.  Purdy sure oxblood is not food-safe ;)

Wide rolls of butcher paper are cheaper than wood tables and way easier to deal with than an angry wife.

Cardboard boxes are free. I use them all the time to dye on. One side for black other side for the rest of the colors.

I learned the hard way too brother!  I now lay down cardboard and wear latex gloves.
