I was recently approached by a local custom guitar maker about ukulele straps, I've finally come up with my first prototype. After doing a lot of research and not finding much in the way of leather ukulele straps, this is what I've come up with. The strap itself is 5/8" split down to 5oz, the pad is 2" x 18" of 9oz, and the strap parts that are going around the ukulele is 1/2" and 3oz. I used a small piece of kydex and covered it with pigskin to prevent the kydex from scratching the body. I used a short piece of 2mm elastic cord to apply the tension to both clips. I left it natural for now.

Every day you learn something is a good day. If you don't learn something every day, was it worth waking up for?
