Keychain pattern

Recommended Posts

I have been playing with the designs suggested previously, shortening the neck. Seeing Monicaj origami help me understood, finally. For some weird reason, I assumed that the ears were crossing (left to right, right to left).  I will refine my pattern and built a few prototype to refine the keyfob. I will work with Northmount's design. NVLeatherWorx makes a good point about optimizing leather usage. I appreciated all the help I received.

Merci,

Yves

So is the bottom part actually a larger piece folded in half? Or is it just one piece with the loop at the top wrapped around?

One piece of leather, split from bottom to a point in line with the screw.  Follow my pattern and advice posted above.  Cut on the line marked as a fold line.  Look real close at the picture you quoted and you can see what is cut, and what is folded.  Might be hard to see if you are looking at it on a phone, go to a larger screen, or zoom in.
