I used a Tandy kit to get an understanding on the structure before I do my very own. I was wanting critique on my tooling. I accidentally forgot to detail the leaves before it was too late. Quote

You might want to look at Al Stohlman's holster book for as well as the various youtube videos on building holsters (with the caveat that anyone can post on youtube so look at enough that you can see what most people are doing) Quote

The Holster book not only gives you a limited selection of patterns to use, but a good overview of the entire process used in construction. ANY of Stohlman's books are a great resource, that can be applied to any project. As for yours, it looks very good for a first, even if it is a kit. I would suggest getting stitching chisels, as those holes look pretty primitive. Again, nothing against your effort, rather Tandy's pre punched beginners system. Quote

If you're interested in tooled leather holsters - and making them - then DO get Stohlman's book but maybe also check out work from Josh Ashman -- makes a nice looking rig.
