If you recall I had decided to make some bracelets and dog collars to strengthen my techniques working up to a few belts for myself. I had already made some mistakes on these. When I conditioned these I forgot about a fourth strap that was already cut to length. Awhile back Ray ha sent me some hide rejuvenator. I decided to test it out. It went on messy thick and well kind of gooey. But two days later it was in fantastic shape. It feels what I would imagine hot stuffed leather would feel like. If I had ever felt any. I worked really hard on my skiving and burnishing on this one. I had put an edge groove on it while playing and it looked pretty good. Then when I went to stitch I decided to go all the way around. I wish now that I hadn't grooved it. Or if I had know the groove would remain so prominent after stitching I wouldn't have chosen white thread. I gifted it to my brother in law who really loves it. If it is what dye did you use and what technique to apply it. Purple has been my nemesis. ( I only tried it once years ago, but it kicked my butt, I tried several ways and it never turned out like yours did) Quote

I cut it 50/50 with tap water and applied it with a dollar store sponge (cut into thirds). I then gave it a super light coat of neatsfool oil. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!!
