Can I tan and dye snakeskin myself?

Recommended Posts

I have what looks to be dried snakeskins (a friend bought it) and I am assuming they are not treated. Before paying some to tan and add color for me, I would like to know can I do this myself? What is the tanning process including dying?

Braintan.com I think is a site that teaches about how to tan stuff yourself. It won't be much cheaper to do it yourself than to ship it off unless you already have all the equipment and supplies. You can, however, dye it yourself.
