this is my first sheridan project, made it for my mother for mothers day, and critique or advice welcome

one tip, when you do your letter stamping allow the leather to dry more so you end up with the square outline

I really like the use of the cam tool all  around the scroll!

never seen that used before to that extent. Very creative, mind if I steal it?

looks great. Did you cut it to finished size then tool? I was taught that if I leave it bigger, and even use mac-tac (sticky shelf paper) on the back when tooling it will keep it from "warping" or "stretching" then when it is all dry again cut it to finished size so the edges are nice and straight.

Otherwise the tooling is excellent and you must have a lovely Mom!

I would like to be as proficient with the saddler stamp as you already seem to be and I especially like the pattern it made on the inside corners...  almost like a heart.

Thanks on that, and yes I cut before and fit design to it, I had a small piece of wickett and Craig saddle skirting left over so I squared it up and decided on the design, and yes I really like using the serpentine stamp adds a nice finish touch
