Congratulation it is looking good, must be a lot of work :)

Thank you. This one took me about two weeks to do although I didn't work on it every chance I had. About 10 hours of carving

I'm not a fan of the tassels, but that is a beautiful belt. Can't wait to see the holster that goes with it.

Thank you. I've been on a blood knot kick lately so I decided to throw a couple in. They look better with it on. The holster is carved and dyed just waiting for assembly when I get more thread

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.....can we also discuss that little needle pack you have to the left side of the matt in one of the pics? I came back to look at this kickass belt and happened to catch that and now I'm a bit interested in whatcha got going on there.

Lovely work!

What's a blood knot?

The slotted concho braid that looks like tassels. I believe it's actually called a bleed knot but I can't force myself to call it that

Hahahaha it's definitely handy. A little scrap leather and no more finding needles in the carpet the hard way

I use one of those tomato/strawberry things....I may need to up my came a little and make one of those, it looks far handier than that tomato pin cushion. I may even embed a magnet in it too just for some extra retention.

Definitely nice!  And what kind of white thread did you use?

The thread is tandy white waxed three for hand sewing. Dunno how to describe it. It thick and flat. Then I hammered it down

Huh, I don't have any of that.  Was going to send you some white thread to finish it up, it was looking so good!  Sorry can't help you out with the Tandy stuff!

Looks great, very impressive carving and stitching.  That is a lot to stitch all by hand.
