Downsized life and shop- lots of peg board added last couple of weeks...still trying to get everything sorted out. Its actually been fun trying to organize. Mocivnik Report post Posted April 1, 2019 My new workshop. After 1 month of keeping the stuff and 2 months of moving, finally managed to set the working table as it is seen now. I've changed location now. I am still on 90% of work here done, as I'm waiting for a kilogram of rivets yet to come (to fill outter assortiment boxes under table, each color each box - gold, brass, silver and black. One is for "rarely used items".). I am still unsure, whether should I add a wooden board behind the desk upwards, to tape some leather straps to it to put my tools on the board (like here CLICK ). There are several resize apps and programs available. What I do is, email them to myself, then attach, no problem. Emailing appears to resize the pic to reasonable file size, so the upload limits are not a problem. Ohh yeah, good looking workspace you have there. FarfarsYxa Report post Posted July 28, 2019 After a few months working on it on and off, my toolboard is finally up on the wall again so I can almost call the workplace done! I just need to get a feel for the area and get it "lived in" and see if I need to move things around before I bolt for example the arbor press onto the table. I also need to cut a hole for cables to run through. The workplace has four different sections which are from left to right: dying and drying (not really pictured that well), tooling, cutting and assembling, hot stamping with the arbor press and burnishing. I also have a separate desk off to the side where I have photo equipment set up for shooting future videos and taking product photos. It feels awesome! Can't wait to get back to working! I built the desks myself using a 28mm thick, 650 mm deep countertop onto a frame that is bolted into the walls so I need only a few table legs for support. The legs are at a 45 degree angle so I have the maximum amount of room while I roll around on my chair. I wanted the desk to be sturdy enough so it wouldn't move at all when I for example bang away with my mallet or do the occasional tooling and both me and the missus can stand on them without difficulty so I am very satisfied! The axe used to belong to my grandpa's and it reminds me to strive towards making my leather items to the quality that they can last long enough to gift to the coming generation. All in all production has increased since we're not moving things to get to other things. The darker streak in it made it unusable as a headstone so the monument company let me take it for $20. Now I hope my bench can hold it. I may need to reinforce it.
