How big are your friends coffee cups?

You have some work to do on your layout and design, keep at it.

I measured the diameter when I got to my shop and it's 6 inches:)

Thanks for your kind words.

The stamping and colour is nicely done

However; I find those bright rivets holding the name tags on very intrusive. If you really needed to rivet them on I would have used a dark coloured rivet with a much smaller head

Fred, what happened is that the much smaller jeweled rivets I wanted to use, like the 4 green ones on the perimeter, were to short to go through both pieces of hide so I used the larger, shiny ones, that I knew was a mistake:(

My color is Fiebing's Buckskin and some British tan antique paste finish, buffed to a high sheen and coated with several coats of Angelus high gloss Acrylic finisher. On the back is a round piece of 4 oz, Italian leather backing. The coaster itself is 6 oz Dead steer:)

The tooling was just something 'Artsy,' to add some optics to the piece.

Unique piece, thanks for showing it off!  I like the spots of green color, gives it some bling!

I removed the silver rivets and replaced them with the smaller jeweled ones. It now proudly sits on my Friends desk at work. :)

Nice alteration!  Definitely more consistency with the same type of rivets.
