Made another variant for my cherry blossom wallet, this one is nicer I think. The stitching is at 3 mm spacing and the closure is a bit more delicate.

3mm should be 9 SPI, the numbers should be something like this:

8SPI/TPI 3.4mm

9SPI/TPI 3.0mm

10SPI/TPI 2.7mm

By definition, one inch is 25.4mm, so divide 25.4/3 = 8.466 holes per inch. 3mm is the distance between the holes, the number of stitches would be 1 less, so between 7 and 8 stitches per inch.
