First Seat for 2019

Recommended Posts

This was a stressful seat and a deadline. Not knowing how to go about it, it turned out better than I expected but room for improvement.

Thanks!

Yes, 1) Forming foam to fit in the open areas and allowing for the leather. 2) stitching diamond pattern in 5 oz. veg tan and I've never done it before after forming. 3) realizing that when you build up from underneath the top piece grows bigger (chrome piece)

Well done! That's a tough job there. That center piece would be a bugger to work around.

Fantastic seat! A learning experience, (which are much easier without the deadline)! You totally nailed it.

I wonder how those bumps on the perimeter feel after about 50 miles...I don't ride, so maybe they don't even notice.

Yes, there won't be much comfort. I'm sure this will be a show bike.

Thanks everyone!

Great work, doing work for show bikes can't be easy.

One day I would like to make seats for some of my friends who have Harleys.

Pic of it on the finished bike would be great

My goodness!  That turned out awesome and it certainly looks like it was tricky!  Well done!

Here is the seat on the bike. It is at the Easy Rider Show in Sacramento this weekend.
