Copper R&T Roll Top Backpack

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks, I've been seeing that Wacouta backpack getting a lot of love around the net and I've had the an R&T backpack kicking around the back of my mind for a while.

This thing is 19" (tall up to the roll) x16" wide. It's different from the Wacouta in that it has "false gussets" to give some depth.

Differences that the final version will have:

  • Copper Rivets instead of chicago screws (I opted for removable hardware in the prototype to get started and to be able to make changes to the length of straps and such.

  • None of the straps are stitched yet but they all will be in the final version (once again done to be able to make adjustments to length if necessary until I'm happy

  • Lastly I may tuck some of the ends of the straps into the seams on a final version.

That is cool. I bet you will sell plenty of those. Koreric was telling me last night how much he likes that particular Leather. Looks great.

It's the perfect leather for anything turned.

If you can tuck all the strap mounting spots behind a horizontal patch/seam/luggage strap than you would have one heck of a backpack!

Hiding them is gonna be hard but I actually took out the screws and added copper rivets (flat side out) and it looks much "cleaner"...still working out the kinks but I'm mostly there.
