I haven't had time for anything to involved but took a rainy Saturday afternoon to repair a friend's beloved show halter. Bar was broken and ring missing. So... split it open at the lap and installed new hardware, glued, stitched then a go with saddle soap and conditioner... turned out well for a few hours of me time.

That looks like a much better repair than original design! Very clean too!

Thanks all. I find a real satisfaction in repairing folks' favourite tack... such personal and emotionally connected  equipment and shame that a slight damage often means replacement.
