Singer 531b-8bl Info

I recently picked up a  Singer 531b-8bl and cant find any info on this machine.

Anyone know anything about this machine when they were made ect .

same as Consew 206rb    made in Japan by Seiko I believe.  Consew manuals  and parts should work for it.

I've sold a few of them yrs ago & think it was in the middle to late 1980's that they had them.

Seiko STH-8BL, also known as Consew 206RB-2 (oil system) machine.  At this time they were sold, for a short while, by Singer as a 531B-8BL.  Again, NOT a copy, the real deal Seiko made in Japan.

I am trying to mount a flip down sewing guide to this machine,

and need to find 2 screws to mount it not having any luck locally

i need flat head countersunk screws with  .500 thread length .

pitch is 32  od on thread is .216

 

any chance anyone can help me find these screws ?

Check the Seiko parts manual for your model. They are pretty good at not only giving their part number for screws but also the thread information. Your screw is probably defined as a fractional size rather than decimal -- something like 7/32". Should make for easier searching once you know the quotable size, even if you go into a hardware store.
