garypl Report post Posted June 25, 2019 We watched my nephew’s two children over the weekend and the 10 year old wanted to make something out of leather. So we made a belt out of two layers of 5 oz Russet W&C, with some black pebble grain upholstery leather for accents. I cut the strips and let him do most of the other work under my supervision (I also sewed it since we had limited time). I think it turned out pretty well and he was so proud of it! bullmoosepaddles Report post Posted June 25, 2019 I like this a lot. Great way to pass on the craft. My grandfather was a maintenance mechanic for all of my life and most of his. He was the first one to show me how to use a Speedy Stitcher to repair the bib pocket on one of his work aprons. The grandson will not forget this. He is moving to Florida soon, so I gues I won’t be doing too many more projects with him. Will have to figure out where I can find more youngsters to help.
