Can´t see any pictures.

However - the predecessor of the 331 is the 31K and there were some subclasses with jump foot (not really a walking foot) - check Singer 31K19 or 31K47. May that's similar to what you have.

you should probably upload the pictures directly to the forum. Not sure what files you have uploaded but I cannot open them.

That machine has obviously been custom built (maybe by Singer Co.?) into a dual feed walking foot machine. The shaft on the back of the bed is part of the driven outside foot. A close-up of the foot area will show better details. At best it will be a top/bottom feed walking foot. The needle would remain static, along with the inside foot. The outside foot would be pulling the work back instead of just following the material.

I have one spring foot Singer in my shop: a Singer 42-5. It works fine without any teeth or positive top feed. But, the teeth on the feed dog are huge!

Maybe it was built for sewing hems on heavy tarps ?..With the "foot driving bar" across the back of the bed it could only sew edges..and the back foot reaches well forward like the outer foot on my Juki DLU 490-4 which was often used for sewing heavy tarps and other fabric that was either slippery or needed pulling through in straight lines..Roller ( like on sailmaker's machines ) would make a better job...but..

Im thinking of buying this machine.. I do carpet binding, ar table..etc.. for almost 30 years..still using double puller speedbinder.. basically singer 107.. perhaps going to use this to put on wide binding with custom folders and doing blind stitching then folding over..  with just about any material with leather included..have had fun to say the least last 30 years.. constant battle o evenly feeding material ..not to tight..not to loose.. different thickness of soft flooring..backings can be soft..dense..rubber..etc.. easy to sew "small sample" pieces .. then it's a different ballgame with same material but in a 12'x12' floating and trying to feed evenly... Heard my fair share of crunch..bang ..pop..etc..lol..oh my! I can pretty much set the timing on a 107 in my sleep....
