DrmCa Report post Posted July 21, 2019 (edited) My wife wanted for portable textile work something stronger than her plastic Singer and I picked up this Brother 1211 machine. It perfectly serves the purpose but we are puzzled by the mystery button or knob on the right side of the casting by the motor mount. It can be seen in the attached picture to the right of the Brother decal. I tried turning it and it seems to turn freely. It does not depress. Anyone know what it is for?
