A Few Recent Projects

Recommended Posts

Made my first bill for a ball cap. I ended up making several designs while I was at it. More to come later.

I also made a "special" Bible cover for my brother's birthday this coming Saturday. First time using acrylic paints. I think I'll use a "2 hair" brush next time to get really clean edges on the cross. The bookmark is kind of a bonus thing to match the cover. Christmas will be a matching belt with the same design as the bookmark.

Those are really cool!  I've tried sketching up ball caps several times, they all ended up in the bin.  I like the one you came up with, look forward to seeing your others.

Thanks. I use GIMP a lot for my design work. Bit of a learning curve but it's user friendly a best of all it's free. I pick a flower, a leaf or two, move 'em around then use other elements to fill in the big gaps and the rest is vinework. Build yourself a library of elements like scrolls, curls, folded vine leaves, furls, etc. And just size em to fit. Lot harder to just start from scratch. I have over a hundred flower types in my library.
