Members AusSimon Posted September 14, 2019 Members Report Posted September 14, 2019 Hi Everyone, I am attempting to do a leather motorbike seat that has a stitch line every 1 1/2 inches. These need to be really strait and being a beginner am not so good at it. I was wondering if anyone has tried to clamp a piece of timber, possibly a yard stick along the stitch line and then let that run along the foot to get a perfectly strait line? Am also curious to know how others mark lines in leather? I would scratch it in, but if i go even a little off course, you will see it immediately.... how do you avoid that? Thanks, Simon Quote
Members chrisash Posted September 14, 2019 Members Report Posted September 14, 2019 If its Chrome leather you can buy a silver pen at Tandy that rubs off, but does not work on Veg Tan If veg tan have you considered Tailors Chalk, used by tailors to mark up a suit before cutting Quote Mi omputer is ot ood at speeling , it's not me
