Unfinishing my Backpack

Hi everyone

i tried to make that backpack and at the end i can't closed from the top, i know that is huge foolish but i hope some help

Two ideas that come to mind,

1. make a flap that can be sewn to the back of the pack, and folds down over the open top.

2. Make a top piece the same diameter as the top and identical to the bottom side panel, but make it out of very soft and flexible leather so the top will cinch together with a drawstring.

This is what I refer to as "progressive engineering" where a design is developed as the item is built.

I like the idea of a drawstring combined with a separate flap over the top.  It will look as though you built it that way intentionally.

You could also just install a loop style metal closure, grommets and the trigger snap on a  strap.  I think military style duffel bags had something like this.

Thank Rockoboy I think to do that but it will be very tall backpack ever
