Removing leather from a clicker press die

Recommended Posts

I have had some dies made they cut fine, as  far as I am aware. I am finding it difficult to remove the leather from the dies. I am cutting russet veg tan approx 12 -16 oz.

Is there something I am missing to help me remove the leather more easily? Thanks in advance for your help.

I know since the dies are already made it might be difficult to incorporate, however Texas Custom Dies add a foam mold to the inside of most of a lot of their dies. The blade of the die cuts the leather, the foam compresses and then pushes the leather out do it does not get stuck in the die.

Yes   if you have any bring on the dies, ejector foam can be glues to the braces.  Done it many times to dies.
